You may know that wearing sunscreen is a good idea, but do you know why? If you have not yet gotten into the habit of wearing sunscreen daily, take a look at these top interesting reasons why you should wear sunscreen daily.

1.    Shields You from Harmful UV Rays
The continuously depleting ozone layer has put us at a greater risk of getting affected from the harmful UV rays of the sun. While you do need the sun for your daily dose of Vitamin D, it does not mean that you should put your health at risk. Applying sunscreen blocks the harmful UV rays from penetrating the skin and triggering skin disorders.

2.    Lowers the Risk of Skin Cancer
Using sunscreen daily, even when it is cloudy or raining, it dramatically decreases your risk of developing Skin Cancer, especially Melanoma. This is the worst type of skin cancer which can be life threatening for women, particularly those who are in their 20s.

3.    Prevents Premature Aging
Dermatologists say that most of the visible aging does not come from the number of candles on your birthday cake but the hours you have spent in the sun. Wearing sunscreen daily saves the skin from years of visible damage later.

4.    Prevents Tanning and Sunburns
Tanning is caused by harmful UVB rays, so always choose a sunscreen that has a minimum of sun protection factor 30 to prevent tanning. On the other hand, sunburn weakens the skin and bruises the skin. Your skin may suffer repeated attacks of peeling, swelling, redness, hives, and itching. Always wear sunscreen and make sure to reapply every two hours.

5.    Lowers Blotchiness on Face
Apply sunscreen generously on your face to prevent the onset of that irritating blotchiness and eruptions of red veins. This is also essential to prevent the onset of acne and other sun rays- induced damages.

Sunscreen acts as a shield against the harmful UVA and UVB rays which penetrates every time your skin is exposed to the sun. It is, therefore, advisable to use sunscreen every day. You may not notice the benefits now, but the advantage is felt in the long run. There is no specific time to start using sunscreen. It is always better to be late than never. Enjoy the sun 365 days with a liberal dab of sunscreen.
